A notable interpretation of Hemingway’s The Snows of Kilimanjaro managed to incorporate all the details of the short story as follows :
A white geometric shape depicted the snowy mountain top, which was created by God, represented with a ring in red. The carcass of a dead leopard was just a black dot on the snowy top. Since the ambitious aspirations and lofty plans of the protagonist were thwarted by his circumstances and never bore fruit, this essential fact was symbolically shown with many triangles and upward lines representing those dreams of big projects ending mid-way on the canvas. These were broken dreams which were never fulfilled. Yet despite all these setbacks, the artist gave hope for a final redemption, in the shape of an orange sun behind the overpowering obstacles to a man’s daydreams.
